How was that uncaring? I recall exactly when and where I was when I heard about his death. Hell, living in the southeast I recall the numerous flags at half-mast (probably like Elvis' member at the time - oh wait, that's not siginficantly caring for you is it?)

BTW, Nagdot, I'm fully aware that Jerry considered Elvis' "The Sun Sessions" to be the greatest rock and roll ever recorded (mentions the same in the Garcia book put out by Rolling Stone after he died; collections of various interviews, etc) and I LOVE some of that early stuff, as well as some of the later stuff (Suspicious Minds, In The Ghetto - even when totally over the top vegas stuff) While I'd agree with Chuck D re motherfuck John Wayne, I'm not there via Elvis.

What I don't get is why you feel a need to repeatedly post negative crap about the Dead on a Dead forum. But whatever - have at it.

you never saw me sayin stupid shit bout jerry on his death anniversary. its not negative, its the truth. like the elders say here, if you dont like what someone says, dont read and respond to it. you chose too, so deal with it.
